In time it tends to come off. It is best used on fabric or silk flowers or anything it can sink into and grip. For glass or metal you would want a glue that states that is what it is used on. We pre-glued the styrofoam snowmen on to the mason lids with a glue gun - used thread spools cut in 1/2 and painted black for the hats and are using push pins with colorful tops to decorate - also scarves made of ribbon, and of course a peppermint ribbon with a name tag on the bottom!
